Fundraiser
Lou's Organic Lab is proud to be hosting a fundraiser for the Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary! The Cape Fear Parrot Sanctuary (CFPS), which is located in Pink Hill, North Carolina, was founded in November 2013 and is a 501c3 non-profit organization. It rescues, rehabilitates, and cares for parrots who are unwanted, abused, neglected, or whose owners can no longer care for them. CFPS currently cares for 348 parrots from 20 different states. These birds have been entrusted to their care. CFPS is committed to providing a permanent refuge and a life long, health habitat for these parrots.
As you can imagine, 348 parrots eat alot of food! In fact, they eat 30 pounds of food each day! Their diet consists of apples, oranges, blueberries, grapes, nuts, unsalted peanuts, rice, elbow macaroni, and canned vegetables. That's a huge grocery bill! And these parrots also have Vet bills!
